Breathing is involuntary and controlled by our automatic nervous system, but we can voluntarily change our breathing patterns.

Breathwork is transformational physically, emotionally and spiritually. It is the most powerful tool we are born with for healing our bodies and minds, for bringing us peace and to create a shift in our life.

It can clear what we want to release on a cellular level for example abuse, trauma, move through grief, deal with anger.

Breath is life.

I use two techniques Power Breath and Holotropic breathing.

Power Breath is a simple breathing exercise that calms the nervous system. When the sympathetic nervous system is activated for example during an anxiety attack, we go into fight or flight response. Power breathing enables us to switch to the parasympathetic response of rest and relax which slows the heart rate, relaxes the muscles and regulates our breathing.

Holotropic Breathwork involves controlling and quickening breathing patterns to enter a non-ordinary state of consciousness. This state activates the inner healing process o n a mental, emotional and physical level and any trauma that requires healing will come forward to be released.  This form of breathwork is done using music in a very safe and supportive environment
