Many of us live in the past because we don’t want to deal with the present or we live in the past for fear of what the future may hold.
We hold on to and re-live negative emotions and feelings, which prevent us living the life that we deserve.
Meditation and Mindfulness are different, as meditation is about clearing the mind, whereas Mindfulness is about becoming aware of and paying attention to those thoughts and feelings both physical and emotional that we experience in every moment and doing this without judgement, as there is no right or wrong way to think or to feel.
Being mindful reduces negative emotions and stress and gives us a calm focus which then boosts our self-esteem and self-acceptance.
We can practice mindfulness in many ways. It doesn’t have to be through a formal practice of sitting quietly.
